How TurfTab uses text messages, how consent works, and how to opt out. Last updated March 2026.
TurfTab is a business management app for lawn care and landscaping professionals. It helps business owners manage their schedule, clients, and invoicing. As part of the service, TurfTab sends transactional SMS messages to a business owner's clients on their behalf.
When you provide your phone number to a TurfTab business, you may receive these types of text messages:
"Your landscaper is on the way" with estimated arrival time
A link to view and pay your invoice online
Notification when your service is rescheduled due to weather
A reminder about an outstanding invoice
Estimated arrival time for your scheduled service that day

You opt in to receive SMS messages from TurfTab when you provide your phone number to a lawn care business that uses TurfTab. This typically happens when:
Your landscaper is responsible for obtaining your verbal or written consent before adding your phone number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Every time a business owner adds or edits a client's phone number inside TurfTab, the app displays this disclosure directly below the phone field:
"By adding a phone number, you confirm this client has consented to receive transactional SMS notifications (arrival, invoice, reschedule, reminders). They can reply STOP anytime."
This ensures the business owner affirms they have obtained the client's consent before any SMS is sent. The disclosure is mandatory and cannot be hidden.
No message is ever sent to a phone number until the business owner:
End clients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by asking their landscaper to remove their phone number from the app.
Reply STOP to any message from TurfTab. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent. You can also ask your landscaper to remove your phone number from the app.
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at support@turftab.com.
Reply START to any previous TurfTab number to re-subscribe after opting out.
Message frequency varies based on the services you have scheduled. You will typically receive 1–5 messages per week during active service periods. You may receive fewer or no messages during off-season months.
TurfTab does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply — check with your mobile carrier for details.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your phone number and message data are used solely for delivering the messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are transmitted to our messaging provider (Twilio) only for message delivery.
